Academic Tutor (entry level or intern)

part time or intern, serves as the primary point of supporting our study aboard program and has overall responsibility for advising and tutoring international students in Walnut Bond’s main service areas.

Responsibilities:

- Review student records and meet with individual students to assess their educational, vocational and life goals.

- Work with students to develop and update short and long-term plans to meet those goals, while ensuring compliance to standards, policies and procedures.

- Monitor individual student progress and perform proactive - advising outreach to students. Tutor for international high school students in English, SAT, AP courses and other subjects focusing on STEM(Not require to teach all these subjects).

- Advise in student's projects, homework and other assignment.

 

Qualifications:

- 0-2 years directly related experience, preferably in a K12 education institution.

- Demonstrated knowledge of academic advising theories and principles, especially in high school courses. 

- Working knowledge of General Education and transfer requirements, with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate student records and transcripts.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills to explain course knowledge to students. 

- International study experience or local learning experience are strongly preferred.

- Fluency in mandarin speaking and writing is required.

Social Media Speacilist

 

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for daily update maintenance and management of Weibo;
-Responsible for original hot spot time editing, hot spot planning, topic discovery, character interview, event report, planning and other work;
-Responsible for daily WeChat public account operation. Including: content creation, publishing and promotion. Track the promotion effect of WeChat, analyze the data and give feedback;
-Summarize page data to ensure that page traffic and related data can be continuously improved;
-Other superior leaders arrange work that needs cooperation.

Qualification:
-Understand the education industry and have a basic knowledge reserve of the industry;
-A keen ability to capture hotspot time, good logical thinking ability, excellent writing expression ability;
-Basic editing skills, strong sense of responsibility and professionalism, and compliance with professional ethics;
-Those with media work experience are preferred, those with education work experience are preferred.

Academic Advisor 

Academic Advisor, serves as the primary point of supporting our study aboard program and has overall responsibility for advising and tutoring international students in WB’s main service areas.

Responsibilities:

ACADEMIC ADVISING– 40%

- Maintain current student files and database; respond to requests for information -and/or analysis.

- Participate in new student orientation sessions both individually (within United States)

- Advise high school and undergraduate students on the development of individual -- learning outcomes based on their skills, goals, responsibilities and experiences.

- Review student records and meet with individual students to assess their educational, vocational and life goals.

- Work with students to develop and update short and long-term plans to meet those goals, while ensuring compliance to standards, policies and procedures.

- Encourage and provide training to students on utilizing online resources

- Monitor individual student progress and perform proactive advising outreach to students.

- Prepare supporting documents for student advising files.

- Analyze and resolve student issues associated with program requirements, course scheduling and degree matriculation.

- Interpret and apply academic policies for student degree requirements and academic progress as needed.

- Collaborate with campus staff to identify creative solutions to enhance the student’s overall educational experience.

- Pursue and demonstrate content knowledge regarding specific degree, credential and certificate programs.

Academic Tutor – 40%

- Tutor in TOFEL, SAT, AP courses and other subjects focusing on STEM

- Advise in student's projects, homework and other assignment

Testing and Educational Services – 20%

- Coordinate testing and comprehensive exam or final project administration at the local office.

- Coordinate articulation, student teaching, internship opportunities with external entities, as needed.

- Participate in the planning and implementation of Campus Graduation, credential completion and other campus events.

- Other duties as assigned

Marketing Specialist

 

Responsibilities: Conduct research on target students and schools; prepare survey results reports and translate complex survey results into written text for creative marketing activities; collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and habits to identify potential Market and formulate future marketing strategies; plan and execute plans through appropriate channels (social media, email, TV, etc.) to reach the target audience; organize online recruitment and conduct face-to-face seminars for partners and customers

 

Qualifications: Three years of relevant experience and requirements for Mandarin / Cantonese / English skills.
